Application for Fall 2018 admission due January 1
The Bridges to the Doctorate (B2D) Program aims to increase representation of individuals traditionally underrepresented in the biomedical sciences at the doctoral level.
- B2D scholars will complete their MS degree in a laboratory at Towson University and ultimately enroll in a biomedical doctoral program at the University of Maryland School of Medicine (UMSOM) or elsewhere.
- In partnership with UMSOM, B2D scholars will participate in professional development and research skills building activities. Activities include research seminars, workshops, a 4-week rotation in a UMSOM lab, doctoral-level coursework, and GRE test prep.
- The B2D program provides the educational and financial support to ensure a successful transition to a biomedical Ph.D. program.
- While enrolled at TU, B2D students are provided a tuition waiver, salary, and funding to travel to research conferences.
