NC State’s Master of Microbial Biotechnology

The MMB is a two-year, Professional Science Master’s program that offers a unique blend of science and business, integrated in real-world bioscience industry exposure.  Our campus, located 15 miles from Research Triangle Park, the heart of the biotech industry, is the ideal location to gain exposure to local biotech and pharma companies through industrial case studies, internships, and guest speakers.

The MMB program that trains students to apply scientific methods to solve business-related problems faced by the bioscience industry. We believe that students gain practical experience through this program that enhances their career options. In fact, 98% of students are satisfied with their post graduate career. Overall, respondents indicated satisfaction with their job meaningfulness, security, salary, autonomy, and opportunities for advancement.

Interdisciplinary Biochemistry Masters Program

North Carolina State University is recruiting students for a new graduate program.  Please see a message from them below:
We have an NSF S-STEM training grant to recruit low-income and under-represented minority students to the program. We call the program IBMP – the Interdisciplinary Biochemistry Masters Program. Students would be accepted into the Biochemistry Masters program and take our first 3 required graduate classes.  They could choose to do their masters thesis research in a lab in 5 departments: Biochemistry, Animal Science, Plant and Microbial Biology, Food and Nutrition Science, and Poultry Science.  Students will also have an opportunity to learn about industry jobs through industry mentors and internships.
