If you are interested in a summer research opportunity, the application for the University of Virginia’s Summer Research Internship Program (SRIP) is currently open, with a deadline of February 1st.
SRIP is a ten week residential summer program that combines an immersive research experience with a number of professional development activities and a communication workshop series. The program considers applications from students who will have just completed their undergraduate studies, as well as those who are earlier in their undergraduate career. It is a perfect opportunity to explore the highly collegial research and training environment here at UVA, while completing a high-quality summer research project under the direct mentorship of one of our program faculty. Our program is supported by several grants from the National Institutes of Health, providing research opportunities focused on cardiovascular disease, pulmonary disorders and cancer, though we offer opportunities in other disciplines as well.
