The Richmond National Battlefield Park is seeking students with interest in biology and/or environmental studies to join one of its weekly volunteer groups. Volunteers will work directly with the Park‘s biological science technician to help understand and protect the Park‘s natural resources. Volunteers will learn about and perform wildlife surveys, invasive management, camera trapping, trail maintenance, erosion control and much more.
The volunteer group will run from the week of February 27 until the end of the semester. If any students would like to learn what it is like to work at a National Park and can commit to a weekly shift of about 3 hours for the spring semester, please contact Lucas Irvin by February 17 at firstname.lastname@example.org with weekday times during which you would be available.
