CARES Clinic at VCU is a pro bono physical therapy clinic serving the Greater Richmond, Virginia area. Our free clinic is run by student volunteers in Virginia Commonwealth University’s doctor of physical therapy program under the supervision of licensed physical therapists as part of a lasting educational partnership between the school and the community. The mission of the CARES Clinic at VCU is to provide compassionate, evidence-based physical therapy services focused on optimizing movement and improving quality of life of the uninsured and under-served members of the Greater Richmond Community. We aim to enhance the education of student physical therapists through clinical practice in addition to community engagement focused on health and wellness.
A sustainable organization aimed at breaking down barriers to healthcare equality and improving the health of the Greater Richmond Community through accessible physical therapy services and community education.
