CARES Clinic at VCU is a nonprofit pro-bono physical therapy clinic serving the Richmond, Virginia area. Our clinic is run by student volunteers in Virginia Commonwealth University’s doctor of physical therapy program. Please read below for our mission and our values.
The mission of the CARES Clinic at VCU is to provide compassionate, state-of-the-art physical therapy care to the uninsured and underinsured members of the Richmond community. Our student-run services are focused on optimizing movement and improving quality of life in patients using evidence-based care specific to each patient’s functional limitations. Free care is provided by students under the supervision of licensed physical therapists as part of a lasting educational partnership between the school and the community.
