Research can seem so big — how to ask good questions, how to answer them, how to know if the answer you found is to the question you asked.

That quote by Zora Neale Hurston struck me. I think I saw it on a colleague’s power point presentation for a class (maybe even Nicki Lee from the School of Social Work). I wrote it down and put it on my refrigerator as a calming reminder that I could pass comprehensive exams and write a dissertation. I have since used the quote when I talk with students about research and community-engaged research. And it is the inspiration for this blog’s title.
