Sound Activity
- What was the point of this activity?
The point of this activity was to show how vibrations cause sounds.
- Explain how you would introduce this to your class?
I would introduce it by asking students what they think causes sound.
- Where do you see students having difficulty?
I see students having difficulty with the amount of water to place in the glass and since it is glass, it’s easy to break.
- What changes or extensions could you do to this activity?
The only thing I would change is to not allow the students to separately do the water in a glass. Instead, I would have all the students sit around a table and I would demonstrate to avoid a mess and possibly breaking the glass.

Light Activity
- What was the point of this activity?
The point of this activity was to show how light reflects and refracts.
- Explain how you would introduce this to your class?
I would introduce it by asking students questions like “Have you ever put a straw into a cup of water? What did you notice? Have you ever tried to reach something on the bottom of a pool? What did you notice?”
- Where do you see students having difficulty?
I see students having difficulty with understanding the mirage.
- What changes or extensions could you do to this activity?
The only thing I would really change is I would show examples of the questions I would ask when introducing this topic. I would also have the students make rainbows.
