Call for Abstracts

We invite you to submit a proposal for the Seventh Emswiller Interprofessional Symposium, “Collaborating for the Community: The Role of Interprofessional Practice in Addressing Current Healthcare Issues.” Abstracts will be accepted for three types of sessions:

  1. Interactive Workshops
  2. Interactive workshops will engage participants in learning activities that focus on evidence-based interventions to improve interprofessional education and collaborative practice. Submissions should include a detailed plan for the session, including learning objectives and activities.

    • Deadline for interactive workshop abstract submission is extended to Monday, November 5, 2018 (5:00 PM ET)
    • To meet continuing education requirements, all interactive workshop presentation materials (e.g.: slides, handouts, etc.) must be submitted by Wednesday, January 2, 2019 (5:00 PM ET).

  3. Oral Presentations
  4. Oral presentations will consist of a 15-minute talk plus 5 minutes for Q&A.Submissions should describe a research study that will be completed by the time of the symposium or an innovation in interprofessional education or collaborative practice.

    • Deadline for oral presentation abstract submission is extended to Monday, November 5, 2018 (5:00 PM ET)
    • To meet continuing education requirements, all presentation materials (e.g.: slides, handouts, etc.) must be submitted by Wednesday, January 2, 2019 (5:00 PM ET)

  5. Posters
  6. Posters will be displayed throughout the day-long symposium. Presenters will be expected to stand with their poster for a 45-minute session to interact with participants and discuss their work. Submissions should describe an innovation in interprofessional education or collaborative practice or a research study and may include works in progress.

    • Deadline for poster abstract submission is Friday, November 30, 2018 (5:00 PM ET)
