We had the Baker’s Crust event last Wednesday night! The fundraising night was a huge success with a lot of people who came out to support ReEstablish Richmond. Every member of our group was present participating in getting information about the organization to patrons. We were given name tags distinguishing us as RR volunteers, and our task was to visit each table explaining what ReEstablish Richmond is, their mission, and that to support they could simply let their waiter/waitress know they would like 15% of their check to go to the organization! All of the customers seemed very receptive to helping RR out and there was a great turnout!
Not only were 15% of checks going to the organization, but Kimberly also had a table set up with information about RR and a raffle going on for a Chin purse made by some of the refugees. The purse was beautiful, and what a great idea to involve the refugees in the event! A lot of people donated money and signed-up for the raffle, it was a really good idea by Kimberly!
