Task for Week 15: LinkedIn profile

Here we are in the last week of the semester! All you have left to do for this class is to develop a professional LinkedIn profile. You need to achieve at least a 80-90% completion rate on your LinkedIn account. You need to include information on your current position (VCU or internship/job) and location, your past jobs, your education, and your skills as well as a professional photo and at least 30 professional connections. Each entry should include a short summary of 2-3 sentences. You also need to have a profile photo and at least one professional (professors, employers) recommendation.  Continue reading

Presentations on Dec. 1

Just a reminder that you need to be ready to present and submit your report in class tomorrow, Thursday (Dec. 1). Please make sure that you’re on time. I need to have all of your files/links in my inbox before class.

A colleague will be there tomorrow for the presentations and will connect me virtually to the classroom. So, everything should be fine.

Each social media account should have at least five posts per day now (this an increase from three posts per day last week) and you should avoid scheduling posts. Tasks for Week 9

We only have one class session in Week 9. On Tuesday (Oct. 18), we will recap the voter registration campaign. Each team will do a brief informal presentation on its efforts. Make sure that everyone is on time. We will also finalize the plan for the on campus campaign that starts next Monday. There is no class on Thursday (Oct. 20) due to VCU Fall Reading Days.
