    Essentially, we have the final say in whether we are happy despite external influences or biological predispositions.

    • I’m not sure how this will be an argument on a topic that is significant and problematic. A lot of readers will reply to this claim of fact with a shrug of their shoulders, a “so what?” on their lips. Is there, instead, a policy claim you could make–something that needs to be done related to this? It needs to be made more specific and applicable to people’s lives, as right now it’s kind of “fuzzy” and broad.

    • I can completely relate to your post! Especially with our access to technology, it can be difficult to zone in and reconnect with the world around us. I’m glad to know that although some people may be better at doing this than others, mindfulness is a skill that can definitely be trained over time.
