I agree that a culture’s food should not be able to be banned. A food that someone doesn’t like or think is “disgusting” should not eat it, not try to ban it. Vegan’s might think it is disgusting to eat meat, but they can’t ban it because of this. They just tell people there opinion and don’t eat the meat.

I have never thought i was taller when i awoke, but it does make sense. Do you think more sleep, or even more time laying down, would make a person grow more because they have less pressure on there spine less of the time?

    • I think after a long period of time, the reduced stress on those particular joints would probably help someone become taller, but I don’t think it would be much a difference to really matter.

I disagree that the minimum wage should be raised by this much, if at all. Raising the minimum wage would cause everything that is produced by human labor or has some human aspect involved in it. This would cause people who are earning the new minimum wage to still be earning minimum wage but the people the are out of a job because of the…[Read more]

    • I agree that to implement such a increase in minimum wage, doing it over night is a terrible idea and it would be much more realistic to raise it progressively over 3-5 years. I do disagree that it wouldn’t reduce income inequality, currently 18.6 million people are make $10 less an hour, with a progressive increase in their pay a minimum wage…[Read more]

I disagree that the second care was worse than the first one. I think the first one is worse because of the face to face action that you had with the person in need. THere are thins you could have done to prevent the thousands of dollar loss but also a thousand dollars for a person leg and gratitude for the rest of his life is nothing, you might…[Read more]

I agree that both situation the person did the wrong thing. I also think that the second situation holds more value in action since you are actually interacting with the person instead of just helping random children that you dont know.

  • eddietindall posted a new activity comment 2 years ago

I agree that both cases are somewhat wrong but since the person is right in front of you, more than in the first one than the second one you are more obligated to help than if it were children you actually knew.

  • eddietindall posted a new activity comment 2 years ago

I agree that both cases are acting in very self interested states. I think though that in the first case, if you had of called an ambulance or just put a towel or something down on your car that you would have done everything you could have to try to save the person. I think in the second case since you dont know the children you are MUCH less…[Read more]

I think that you are right. Drugs are being more readily availabe to people, such as celebrities than they should be. College students shouldn’t use it just because they can get better grades or do more things in a day. There should be more regulation and repercussions for using them.

I think that Adderall shouldn’t be readily available in college, because it can be addicting. Only people who need it to focus at all should be able to take it.

    • Kali replied 2 years ago

I think that if Adderall had a lower dosage and less affect being an over the counter medication, people wouldn’t become addicted so easily. But with every drug a person takes there is addiction and withdraw

I think the wearing uniforms in school can help the student learn better and pay less attention to clothing. I disagree that with your point on freedom of expression is not oppressed by uniforms. Freedoms means you can do them at any time, as long as they don’t violate another law, and if you can only express this freedom on the weekend you are…[Read more]

Marijuana is not good for you, but it is better or has the same negative effects as lot of legal things today such as alcohol, cigarettes, and caffeine. Also, since marijuana is not the unsafe, especially compared to most other illegal drugs today, it is dealt a lot more and is used a lot more than other drugs.

I agree that the perceptions of the “hooded man” as being the only person that can be a rapist is and outrageous thing to think today. I also liked how you backed up everything you said with a statistic, it helps make your post have much more of an impact.

I agree that men do provide an important aspect to the family, which would have a big change with them being phased out. I also agree that while women could survive, and theoretically all become lesbians, it would make a worse world for next generations.

I agree that the media and peer pressures have influenced people to think about, if not have more, sex. I also agree that parental influences and connections can make younger people think more about what they are doing and because of this have less sex in general.

I agree that women are more harshly judges for having sex with more people and using contraceptives at young ages, even if they aren’t having sex.

I agree that there is a big difference between the two sexes when it comes to sex. Though i do disagree that men judge partners on only appearance. Being a man myself, while I do initially judge a woman on appearance, once i get to know them, i will more heavily equate personality into my liking or disliking of them. I also think that women…[Read more]

I agree that women are worse off. I do not agree however on the new wave of “feminism”. The more outspoken feminists at least, do not want equality, they want women to be treated like men are treated right now in the workforce, but in every aspect of life, better.
