From the fresh smell of the guava filled pasteles from Barbie’s Bakery, to behind the rot iron fence where cafecito was being made in our grandmother’s small concrete home.  It’s hard to find that one place […]

    • This sounds really cool Yasmin. I didn’t realize you had any Cuban heritage. I think many of us can relate to a place that may not be home to us but is filled with memories with our families and their neighbors. And delicious food. A home away from home that you have known for a long time and can always return to.

    • When I think of Miami, its sad to say that I forget to about real life, housing and residencies where people live. My brain has been washed to think of Miami as a place of naked women, warm weather, cool beach water, professional sports and arenas.

Its nice to hear about the make-up of this great city and the life that’s happening there. Your blog allowed me to sense what life is like in the city of Miami and the people that made the space of south Florida at place with rich culture.

    • I was interested about the different culture there. In my impression Miami is a good choice of place for vocation. Through your description I have a imagination in my mind, I think there might be a comfortable place.

    • I want to hear more about he bakery and Cuban baked goods.
