Ditto… “I generally dislike dance on film or TV and much prefer it live” Great ideas for a dance history course.
And ditto.
I honestly keep a log of all my passwords. Too many apps and passwords to remember. 🙂

Hi Allison, I for one am the last person to ask about specificity of goals; if you know my teaching approach and philosophy. But I’d suggest that the learning goal is to offer students opportunities to gain more understanding about clinical nursing education IN OTHER CONTEXTS. Might that work better?

So he is a professional skateboarder (I googled!)? It would help if you hyperlink his name to some information website. E.g. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Cardiel or his own website? Professional website for skateboarders?

Michael, it’s good to know that you “get” the distinction between thinking dispositions and thinking routines! It’s heartening to note that you’ve learned quite a bit that I hope is transferable to multiple contexts in your life. The words you use are definitely important and be more mindful of your written words. Your sentences tend to run a bit…[Read more]

Reflections take time — time to ponder, wonder, connect. I’d like to know your response to the first prompt question:
Reflect on your own questioning behavior. Has your questioning “fallen off the cliff”? How is that so? How might you seek to improve? For inspiration, skim through Warren Berger’s article on Why We Stop Questioning.
Thoughts?

Michael, don’t forget to read the Final Inquiry Project details. Use different media types – text, visuals, audio, audio visual, etc.

Kristen, StepInside is a thinking routine. In Q1. you are asked to reflect on the thinking disposition(s) you are most aware of developing in your own learning.
In Q3., similarly, you are asked to reflect on the thinking disposition you want to focus on as you begin your next project in this course and in your daily life.
So questions about…[Read more]

There’s quite a bit of implicit details in this piece of writing. I’d prefer that you spend more time thinking through than rushing to complete an assignment. To reflect means “to think, ponder, or meditate” — this picture is lovely and definitely worth more elaboration to further interpretation and understanding of the themes you…[Read more]

I’m guessing you are a TS fan? 🙂
Empathy indicated:“I cannot just take a break from fame and mess up because people are watching me. I need to support them like they support me.
“I cannot take a break from my life because no one else gets to take a break from his or her life.”This is provocative and true to a large extent. We can…[Read more]

I see a diversity of readers, reading contexts, reading materials … reading relationships? I’m equally fascinated by Cornelius Norbertus Gijsbrechts and Sophie Combs’ pieces. They are very provocative. What questions might they raise? I have several. 🙂
Here’s a gallery of Reading Women by Carrie Schneider:…[Read more]

If you (Stephanie) interviewed Olivia and Emily, where is your response documented? On whose blog?

It is too bad that Google Art Project is still so clunky and does not allow for the gallery to be embedded. It would complement your Final Inquiry Project so well. Maybe we have to capture all the image or link them to your new Project Site.

No offense intended, but for learning purposes, this post needs revision because the respondent does not indicate a clear understanding of thinking dispositions and thinking routines.

If you (Olivia) interviewed Emily, should I assume that the responses on this post are Emily’s thoughts?

I do like the sound of the eclectic blend of people you know. Diversity of opinions is good. How many are you thinking of interviewing? I assume you will be recording and asking them for permission to do so. They can remain anonymous with pseudonyms given in place of real names. Just remember the goal of this project… Which thinking routine are…[Read more]
