Throughout the curriculum, VCU OTD students learn about activities of daily living, challenges that our clients may face, and the design process. We have 2 specific courses designated to design and adaptations:
OCCT 692 Assistive Technologies for Occupational Engagement
OCCT 693 Occupational Synthesis and Adaptations
In these courses, students complete design projects for specific client needs. Students work with potential clients to design or redesign every day objects to meet their needs.
To contribute to our students’ efforts, please consider donating to the VCU Occupational Therapy Fund.
If you or someone you know need custom design assistance, our students can help! Please contact us using the form below.
