VCU is offering a limited number of COVID-19 exit tests at no cost to all students, residential and non-residential, next week. These exit tests are optional and are COVID-19 PCR swab tests. Exit testing offers students the opportunity to test for COVID-19 as they prepare to leave campus for the fall semester. Students who plan to return home, especially those who may have contact with at-risk family members, were urged to participate in exit testing. All students were emailed last week to complete an Exit Testing Interest form and those who indicated they were interested, were asked to sign up for a day and time next week. Students must be asymptomatic to participate in exit testing and complete their daily health check on the day of their test.
The testing pop-up will be Nov. 17-19 from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. in the University Student Commons, Commonwealth Ballroom. The volunteer responsibilities are listed below.
- Helping with temperature checks as students arrive – directing students to use the self-service thermometer kiosks at the building entrances.
- Directing students from entrance to ballroom/check-in
- Floating to support various tasks as needed
Anyone interested in serving as volunteers, can complete this sign-up form.
