Health Disparities Organization: Diabetes Screening

Health Disparities Organization hosts a diabetes awareness and screening event for Richmond locals at the East End District Family Resource Center, 2405 Jefferson Ave., Richmond, 23223. This event includes an educational seminar about diabetes, diabetes risk factors and healthy eating from specialists from the American Diabetes Association, followed by actual diabetes screenings from Black Nurses Rock and Richmond’s chapter of the National Student Nurses Association. Global Health Student Panel Discussion

Monday, Nov. 14, 2016 from noon to 1 p.m.

The School of Medicine, Global Education Office, School of Pharmacy and Office of Research host a global health student panel discussion in the Molecular Medicine Research Building, Rooms 1009-1011. Attendees will hear from students in the VCU School of Medicine about their experiences working on global health projects in Rwanda and Ecuador and learn how to get involved in global health.
