Service Opportunity at Reid Elementary School

RVA non-profit Communities in Schools and senior VCU student Imari Santiago are organizing a program to help the Spanish-speaking students at Reid Elementary with their language and literacy skills. They are looking to partner college students with experience with Spanish (only basic skills needed but the more experience the better) to mentor students. The language barrier has become a very large obstacle for many, and no child deserves to held back because of it. If are interested in volunteering and are willing to set aside time to mentor elementary students to improve their language skills, please email Imari at intern@cisofrichmond.org — Imaria can answer any questions you have!
