Summer Academic Enrichment Program

Application Deadline Approaching

The Division for Health Sciences Diversity invites all eligible applicants interested in dentistry, medicine, pharmacy or physical therapy to apply for the Summer Academic Enrichment Program. This program simulates the first year of a professional school to prepare students for their first year and for the application process. The deadline to apply is Wednesday, Feb. 1. UNIV 291: Intro to Career Planning and Management

This is a hands-on course designed to explore potential career options and prepare you to successfully find an internship or job. We will teach you how to access the hidden job market, write a good resume/cover letter, network like a champ, and wow an interviewer. This course has minimal homework, no final exam, and no required textbook.

Volunteer & Shadow with Bon Secours

Volunteer: Visit this link to view all opportunities to volunteer with Bon Secours. For the Hospital Elder Life Program (HELP), make sure to designate this area of interest in your application. Students will need to commit to a 3-4 hour shift, once a week for a semester, and you must provide your own transportation. Shadowing: The online application to shadow is now available at this link. Anyone seeking this opportunity within Bon Secours Richmond should begin this process no later than two (2) weeks prior to the planned date. The individual must be 18 years old to shadow without a school requirement. Shadowing is limited to 16 hours, UNLESS there is a requirement for additional hours.
