The Marquette Challenge is an annual grassroots fundraising effort coordinated and carried out by physical therapist and physical therapist assistant students across the country to support new investigators in the field of physical therapy research.
The Challenge is the Foundation’s signature annual fundraising initiative raising more funds each year than any other Foundation activity. Since its inception, 264 schools have participated in the Challenge, raising over $4 million for physical therapy research.
In the 2015-2016 academic year, we accomplished a monumental milestone in the history of the PT program at VCU. We raised over $51,000 dollars and because of our efforts, won the Marquette Challenge. As a result, the Challenge is was named the VCU-Marquette Challenge the following year. This was first for our program, and it is an accomplishment we will never forget. We placed 2nd in 2017 and 2018, with University of Pittsburgh taking 1st place this year. We were then able to win first place again in 2019! Please join us at our events this year to help us keep the title! Click below for more details about our events!
