This laboratory is directed by Robert (Rob) Tombes and co-directed by Sarah Rothschild. The lab is located on the 3rd floor of the Trani Life Sciences Building which is on the Monroe Park Campus of VCU (Room 304, 1000 W. Cary Street). 

This research laboratory at Virginia Commonwealth University is dedicated to training students at all levels in Cell and Developmental Biology Research. The studies conducted here seek to understand the role of calcium signals during development. In particular, the CaMK-II gene family and its products are studied in embryonic cells in culture as well as in whole zebrafish embryos.
