Positive Education

From reading this article I have understood how positive education is a part of society. Positive education is defined as a type of education to help students achieve goals to determine what paths they want to make in their lives. Sometimes students can have negative emotions when studying in college. Negative emotions can happen but having too much of it won’t make anything better for the students. Positive education talks how students can work on their strengths by showing a positive attitude and putting a strong effort into work.

What I have learned from reading this article was that positive education is an important concept for students to show how they develop their strengths to reach their goals. Positive education mainly focuses on helping students succeed in their education. Having success gladly helps students feel very happy of their achievements when it comes to positive education. So the important thing about this whole article about positive education is that working hard by showing positive emotions will make the students feel focused and more satisfied.

Social interactions

From reading this article about social interactions I have learned how it’s a part of society.Social interactions are defined as group of people that come together and have conversations with each other. Social interactions are also described as a common method for making friends and sharing ideas  about their character traits. Another thing that I have learned from this article that when I think of the word social it means that to be part with some people instead of being independent and to just have good interactions. For example say someone was feeling independent and just not interacting with anyone and then meets someone that they never met before. Then the next thing that happens is that they share some common things about each other when giving an introduction about themselves. This relates to social interactions because to helps build the right way to meet new people.

Everything I have learned about this article has made me realize that talking with some peoplein a group is better that talking independently. Understanding about social interactions shows a perfect idea that talking with groups of people makes you feel positive. I found this article interesting about social interactions by knowing what this procedure can do to help anyone to talk to people more often.

Forgiveness

From reading this article about forgiveness I have learned that it explains about how to moveforward when someone is having a negative problem that they can’t seem to forget about it.Forgiveness is also described as focusing on the more important things than being distracted with the one problem. Forgiveness is one of the strengths that is an understanding of correcting the mistakes and currently focusing on the present. Forgiveness is a common way of knowing what it means to forget about a problem. It also helps with finding out how it can help everyone deal with any conflicts.

Another thing I have learned from forgiveness is that if everyone wants to forget about their problems then they should concentrate on positives thing rather that negative. One example is that like when for instant a student forgot to turn in an assignment that wasn’t completed and then felt really stressed about it. What could be done from not having this repeated again was that the student could complete the rest of the assignments early and then remember to keep it in the backpack to not forget it again.Learning about forgiveness was really interesting to me by learning what it means in todays society.

Character strengths in college

From reading this article, I have learned about how the character strengths for college students explains about. Character strengths for college students means that they all have different type of personality traits. When students are in high school they start to experience and then knowing what if offered. Student’s strengths shows what they are strongly good at. For example like sports,there are students that play different sports that they have the best skills and have played it for so long.So character strengths determine everything that college students have with experience.

What I have also learned about character strengths was how analyzing everything that is related to it. Strengths are basically described as knowing what people are really good at. For college students it’s alway’s good to show the strengths in studying and planning goals. I liked how this taught me to show how strengths can be well achieved. Character strengths also are described as special values that college students learn about learning more about the main things that they are successful in and knowing the number of strengths they can have.

Relationships

When it comes to relationships, I feel that they are the best way for people to try to get along and socialize well. When it comes to making friends then it’ always good to introduce new people andstart interacting and being friends with them. What I have learned is that making friends is importantfor a persons life because it will help them not be independent all the time. For example, when I started last year as a transfer student at VCU I was making a goal to start making friends since I was at a bigger college from the one I transferred from. At my last college I really wasn’t making any friends because I really didn’t know anyone that much. At first I made a few friends when I started at VCU last year but Iwasn’t really interacting much. However this year at VCU I started joining the badminton club and began to make more friends which was really good for me.

From this example I have learned the importance of how making new friends at college shows the opportunity to build relationships with friends whenever it comes to meeting with new people. If someone is independent then they should meet with people and become friends with them. Relationships with friends guide attention to what is seen around and how people make friends by trying to think of many ways to socialize.

Mindfulness

What I have learned about mindfulness is that it can help the ones who deal with negativeproblems. Like for instant if say somebody has had a rough day at work and is having a negative emotion. That means that the person should try to figure out a solution to deal with the stress at work.Some way that would work would to try to find an improvement on the rough day is to try a meditation to help feel less stressed and more smarter. Mindfulness is described as a technique to help create ways to correct the stress issues.

From this article it was really interesting to learn about how mindfulness helps deal with problems and also a great way to relax the brain. If negative problems happen then always use right techniques that will help build more motivation and courage. Relaxing the mind of the brain helps prevent the negative thinking from coming and starts trying to think positive thoughts. Learning about mindfulness really meant a lot to me about knowing how it works and what it can do to help.

From understanding about the article about sleep for teens, I have learned about whysleep is important. Sleep is best described as a way for people to feel relaxed when they are feeling tired. From this article it explains about all the important facts of sleeping for teenagers.I learned about how sleeping can be a problem for teenagers. Having a hard time sleeping happens from various reasons. Like for instant when it comes to so much work that a person is trying to keep thinking about it and never forgetting about it while sleeping. That’s why the right thing to do is to not think about while resting and worry about it during the day.

This article has given me the basic idea that sleep is very important for everybody. I have learned in this article that to always sleep at a right time when someone is feeling tired from something so that they will feel more focused when they are awake. So from this article I really found it interesting on how sleep has certain factors and how teenagers can have the right amount of sleep to help them over any problems. So the main idea from this article was about how sleep can help anyone over many problems and finding the right way to helpthe trouble of sleeping.

Automatic negative thoughts

From reading about the article about having automatic negative thoughts I learned that problems happens for everyone from some many thoughts that is difficult to get rid of. Negative thoughts means that it something that keeps coming into minds of people that make them have bad problems. Negative thoughts can happen from several reasons like for example when someone can’t get over a test they had taken recently and try to figure out what score would be received. If this continues to happen then always move on and focus on studying for the next one. Another example could be like a person being late for something important. It’s important to be on time but if the person shows his negative emotions because of being late then it would not help. So what the person can do is talk to person and to apologize to him/her for being late and to be early next time. From these examples about negative thoughts, how this relates to the article is because the article talks about finding solutions to get over so many negative thoughts. It gives way to help put an end to negative thoughts for people.

Learning about negative automatic thoughts has shown me how figuring out how to solve it. Negative thoughts happens when it’s sometime that a person can’t get over. But thinking about it too much will not help overcome negative thoughts. The main thing I have learned about negative thoughts is that to always find ways to protect negative thoughts from coming so much and instead focusing on the good things.

Depression

From reading the article about depression in teens it talks about how many teenagers gothrough depression from many ways. I learned from this article that depression happens a lot forteenagers and for other people. In the article it explains about the examples of what causes teenagers tobe depressed. What depression means to me is that it’s a type of emotion that shows how a person isfeeling unhappy about something. Depression for teenagers can result from couple of reasons like forexample if someone got a bad grade on a test or quiz. Another reason might be if someone is having abad day and are just not seeming to do something right.

Since depression happens for teenagers and other people there is always solutions that can help. From reading this article I have understood how depression can happen for anybody. Everything from this article about depression for teenagers was helping me understand how it happens and why it happens. The main thing here is that if depression happens then it can vary in lots of emotional problems. So the best thing I learned about depression from this article about how it is based with all sorts of situations and emotions and the last thing I learned from this article was that if depression happens so much then finding ways to reduce it will definitely help overcome it.

Positive Psychology

From reading this article about positive psychology I have learned

About it actually was some of the materials that I had learned in my

stress and management class during the summer of 2016. All

these points about positive psychology were created by Martin

Seligman and I was actually fascinated by what type of study he had

with positive psychology. What I really learned for Martin Seligman was that he

had brainstormed many ways with positive psychology that gave me the

information of all the different types of experiments he did. I like the way he

came up with positive psychology and explaining what example he uses in his

experiments.

 

What really impressed me about Martin Seligman’s main thing of Positive

Psychology is he came up with the three important life’s which are the good life,

the pleasant life, and the meaningful life. I learned from these three life’s that

they each mean different things like which one is the best for me and for

everyone else. I have known these three types of life’s before but now I am

starting to understand more about it and what it helps with. So everything about

this article about Martin Seligman and Positive Psychology was guiding me

everything there was to know about him and how he came up with Positive

Psychology.
