Professional Organization Paper

You will have 2 weeks to complete this assignment.

Each candidate will choose and investigate a professional organization that will support their choice of disability.  Example:  TASH, Autism Society, Down Syndrome Association, etc.  

Each candidate will write a 2 page paper about what he/she found about the organization.  Each candidate will discuss the following information about the organization:

• Mission and Vision
• Brief History
• Issues the organization embraces
• About the disorder it promotes/advocates
• Current research sponsored by or recent news about the organization
• Events and Conferences
• How to Join the Organization
• How the Organization impacts your profession
