While enrolled in a Canvas class, I received a notification that looked like this:
As you can see, all of the text coming from Canvas appears to be written in Spanish. This appears to be an issue that has multiple root causes.
One possible explanation in the post had to do with the setting on the Canvas account not being properly set to English. I logged in as an administrator of our subaccount and did find that our preferred language was not set, but defaulted to English. I changed the setting from “not set” to “English” to see if that does the trick!
