Logan Vetrovec, M.Ed.
Director, Student Experience
The Director is responsible for vision setting for the office, which requires an intimate understanding of: student development, particularly for the graduate and professional student population; current needs of the health sciences population; and trends in providing excellent student services. The Director leads the learning and development activities within the OSE.
Logan also serves as the Director for campus and community partnerships, in which she is responsible for project management and strategic alignment of the VCU health equity initiative, leading efforts to support health sciences community engagement, and building coalitions with campus and community partners.
Roy F. Roach III
Assistant Director, Student Experience
Roy F. Roach III was born in Washington D.C. and grew up in Hampton, Virginia. As a military dependent, he spent time in Japan before moving to North Dakota. In North Dakota, he completed his bachelor’s in communication and a minor in Chinese studies. After discovering his passion for higher education, he was selected for the Ronald E. McNair Scholarship and completed his graduate degree in higher education. He is passionate about education and entrepreneurship as vehicles for social and global change.
The Assistant Director is responsible for the programmatic efforts of the Office of Student Experience. Specifically, he assists in the assessment of health sciences student needs and helps to develop and implement programmatic initiatives to meet these needs. Roy oversees the implementation of existing programming initiatives, including the Success Seminar Series, the SCIE Ambassador Program, and co-curricular programming. He also assesses student satisfaction, learning outcomes in all OSE programs, and works to amplify the student voice on the health sciences campus.
Outreach and Social Media Specialist, Student Experience
Assists in building and maintaining social media engagement across social media platforms. Develops and implements targeted social media campaigns and tracks their success. Manages communication to all health sciences students via existing formal mediums. Responsible for project coordination of recurring and special events, to include design elements, promotion, surveys, and technical execution.
