Entries in Reference Works

This style is similar to a work in an anthology. Some of these articles will identify the author, and some will not. If the article or entry is marked with initials, look in the front of back of the work to find the name associated with those initials. Also, if the work is organized in alphabetical order, it’s not necessary to include the specific volume and page numbers.

Last name, First name. “Entry Title in Quotations Marks: Use Title Case.” Reference Work Title in Italics and Title Case. Edition. Ed. First name Last name. Number of volumes. City: Publisher, Year. Volume and/or page numbers. Medium. Access Date (if medium is Web)
