Final Reflective Blog Post

In this final reflective blog post, reflect on the work you have done in Univ 112 this semester.I will let you determine the “work” of the course — reading, blogging, drafting papers, peer reviews, group talk in class, full class discussions, debates, writing center or office hour visits, group work in Google docs, the list goes on and on. I encourage you to review your blog posts and your final projects as you do this reflection.

So often students see the “work” of a class as a series of “tasks” to get through.  This view is disconcerting to me (your Professor), since I see the “work” of the class in a more holistic view.  I plan the units with specific learning goals in mind, to progress in difficulty, and also to spiral back to some of the same course goals: the practice of critical thinking, writing, and communication, skills that you will continue to use in your classes after this one.  I don’t think one class can teach you everything you need to know about writing, researching and critical thinking.  But I think that your General Education classes should provide you opportunities to explore your interests, read and write about them, and critically think about your positions and ethics during the process.

In your final blog post, reflect on moments this semester where you may have been aware that you were learning something. Often learning happens when we are stuck or challenged.  Other times it is brought on by a simple comment or discussion.  Reflect on your own role in your learning, your classmates’ role, your UTA’s role, and your Professor’s role in your learning this semester.  Reflect on how your final projects in the course (unit 1, 2, and 3) or some other work (blogs, drafts) reflect specific learning this semester.

When all is said and done, what do you think you will take with you from this class?  (Isn’t that the final measure of a class anyway?).  Ground that thing you will take in a specific moment.  Try not to be broad and general, but specific and concrete.

Title and tag this post: Course Reflection.  Include it with your final paper (preferably in the same post as your final paper).

Content Analysis of #90’sKids on Instagram

Introduction

In this project, a content analysis was made on Instagram surrounding the hashtag, “90’s Baby.” The goal of this content analysis is to see what people like to post when they reference something special from their childhood and see how many people remember this item as well. Being a “90’s Baby” means that a person was born in or grew up as a kid during the 90’s and have had first hand experience of what the decade had to offer like music, technology, t. v. shows, etc. This could be represented in people’s post in a variety of things, like old pictures, video game consoles, video game characters, t. v.  shows, music artists, actors, toys, or just old technology in general.  They could be referenced as memes for people that understand to laugh at, it could be used as a way to get likes or followers, or it could be posed as a question to see who else grew up with the item or subject the post is referencing.  The point, is that people love to remember their childhood and they want to share it with others and this nostalgia can bring people together.

Background

According to Kambhampati (2014), “Instagram is a mobile photo and video capturing service that provides users with a way to share their life with friends through the use of pictures or images” (p. 595). Whenever someone posts an image of something they can describe the images using various captions of hashtags “#” followed by a word or phrase.  Then anyone who looks up these phrases would be able to find a specific post.  This can be used to attract others into becoming friends or “followers” of the author of the post. In the 90’s Baby subject for example, a person could post a well-known image of someone or something related to the 90’s and gain followers based on how many people that recognize the image.  On the other hand, a person could put out a meme where they have an image relating to the 90’s that is expressed in a humorous way to gain followers.  This mixture of nostalgia and humor is what brings people born and raised in the 90’s to get together and enjoy themselves.

Method

For this data analysis a total of fifty images.  The first twenty images were collected by selecting every third image.  The last thirty images were collected by selecting every fifth image.  This was to prevent any form of bias in the data collection.  Once the images were collected they were all coded based on what was the center focus of the image and what the text says about the image that is being posted.  They were coded for other factors, like if there was any type of affect added to the image, whether there is a real person in the image, what part of that person’s body is shown, etc.  The data was then collected to see what type of images people were posting whether they had something to do with cartoon characters, video games, actors, or artists.  The results of the coding can be found at the end of the paper in the Appendix.

Findings and Discussions

Based on the results of the coding I have found, most of the posts were either pictures of the author when they were younger or pictures that referenced cartoon characters in some way or form.  Whenever someone takes a picture of when they were younger, it is usually on their birthday, and they let everyone see how they have grown up.  One post for example was an old picture of a father and his son in a locket.  The author of the picture was the son and he wanted to wish his dad a happy birthday using the captions #dadsbirthday and #throwback.  When someone posts a picture of a cartoon character, they would also like to know who also remembers this specific character.  In some post the #90’sBaby would also be followed by #Throwback, #Childhood, or #GoodTV.  The post sometimes may not be about cartoon characters at all.  For example, one post was about a person going to the gym, but the central image was a picture of him wearing a t-shirt with a cast of nickelodeon characters.  Whenever someone posts pictures like these, a lot of responses are almost certain to follow.

Another result of the coding was that a lot of the post relied on a combination of humor and nostalgia within their post.  Most of the humor is in the form of memes featuring things such as cartoon characters, outdated technology, and old toys.  For example one post was a meme featuring a kid with his collection of Pokemon cards and the caption above said, “What swag looked like in 1999. ” The post received a lot of responses and had over 2,640 like after three days with 110 likes.  Other post that follow the nostalgia factor would be post of old music artists from the 90’s or toys that a lot of people may remember.  For example, one post showed a picture of store shelf full of Power Ranger toys and the caption read “Anybody collect the#powerrangers #Legacy #toys? #MMPR #90sbaby. ”  This post recievedEach of these kinds of posts contain a lot of comments saying how other people remember these items and how they were a big part of their childhood.

The claim that seems to be apparent with the collection of post, is that the 90’s seemed to be the best time to be the kid.  All of the posts collected brings out pleasant memories to the people who grew up in the 90’s.  This could be due to the fact that 90’s was a technologically progressive point in time.  This point in time was not the beginning of the internet, but it was in a time were things were still fairly simple.  It was a time where kids grew up watching likable characters that in some cases are still referenced today.  It was also the beginning of video games, the video game community, and in some people’s opinion the beginning of the rap genre of music.  People seem to love the 90’s because a lot of great things came from this time period.

Limitations and Implications

Because I only had a week to collect and study the post that I have found, this does not prove in anyway that my findings will remain true. Instagram is constantly expanding and anything posted on any types\ of social media will get old and be replaced with something else in a month. That being said, this generation, those born after the 90’s and had no contact or experience with 90’s culture, will eventually surpass the old generation since everyone gets older, and hopefully they will produce something that is inspirational, great, and memorable for kids as the 90’s was.

Conclusion

Based on the data I had collected, a lot of the images I had collected were pictures of people when they were younger.  People love to look on the past and see how thing change from how they were back then.  Some like to laugh at how they were back then because of how they looked as a kid.  Others like to look back because of the pleasant memories and feelings they have of the past.  People who grew up or was born in the 90s love to remember and post about subjects and topics from their childhood, whether it would be a video game or their favorite t. v.  character.  If the show or character is relatable in some way to a situation, it would often find its way to becoming a meme for people who grew up watching these character to laugh and enjoy themselves.  Whenever posts like these pop up people would ask to like if you remember this specific thing like a t. v.  show, toys, or some piece of old technology.  Its amazing that after a decade, that tv shows like Hey Arnold!, Rugrats, and Spongebob are still referenced to peoples lives to this day.  Whenever people see these kinds of posts from the 90s, they cannot help but, feel a bit of nostalgia when they are reminded of the “glory days” of being a kid.  Of course people who have not experienced any of thing the 90s had to offer would understand these references, and I was not surprise to see some posts with #todaykidswillnever.  With these types of text within the post, it gives the sense of nothing will live up to a person’s childhood like the “90s” did in terms of tv shows, video game characters, and music artists.

The use of technology to clone humans and animals are unethical

The use of technology to clone humans and animals are unethical

The technology of clone become an ethical issue in the past few years. There are so many potential harms or disadvantages and medical benefits for both sides of clone. First we should know what is clone, clone is a process of biology that a group of identical cells naturally derived from a common parent cell. We can easily say that clone is transfer the gene from one to another and the clones will have the similar gene. However, scientists just found and developed this technology, but it also causes some ethical issues. What if you see a person look the same with you, how do you think? What if he or she replace you, what are you going to do? The technology of clone is an double-edged sword.

First, we should know what is clone. Cloning can also be understood as copy, copy, is produced from the prototype replica of the same, its appearance and the same genes and prototype. Today, the meaning of “cloning” is not only a “clone”, all from the same ancestor, asexual reproduction of a group of individuals, also known as “cloning”. The asexual descendants from the same ancestor group also known as “cloning”, referred to as the clone. In short is a way of artificial induction of asexual reproduction. But cloning and asexual reproduction is different. Asexual reproduction is a combination of means without a male and female sexual reproductive cells, only by an organism to produce offspring reproductive way, common spore reproductive, budding reproduction and reproductive division. By plant roots, stems, leaves, etc. Through the layering, cutting or grafting methods such as to generate new individual is also called the asexual reproduction. Sheep, cattle and monkeys animals cannot be asexual reproduction without manual operation.

With the current technology of clone, the process of cloning still has limited success. 3 percent, is the rate that scientists success using animals to testing on cloning. Even the animal is so hard to cloned, how can the human clone has a high success rate. The first clone animal Dolly, it spent 277 eggs and 30 started to divide, nine induced pregnancy but only one survived. Which means success cloning an animal might waste hundreds lives of animals. It’s not worthy to sacrifice those animals, also clone human even unrealistic. Also, even we success clone those animals, can they survive like normal animals? The sheep Dolly only survived 6 years, a normal sheep can live about 12 years, that is a serious problem. What if we try so hard to clone a human but he or she just can survive for 40 years? So that I think clone is an unethical technology, it doesn’t respect lives.

Human cloning has too much intervention on human development, it may affect the nature of the ethnic composition and natural development. Also, it might intensify family pluralistic tendency, disrupt the normal order of ethics, change people’s relationships, loss the sense of belonging and basic destroy the unique genes of human. Otherwise, it could lead to a degradation in the race, and change the concept of birth and death. Also, even we success cloning human we just can “copy” the appearance, human still have different personality. For example, some of people lost their family members, so that they dream of cloning their parents, husband. However, thinking and personality are individually, clone cannot replace people who already pass away.

Cloning human might cause big issues in our society. If someone clone the celebrity, politician, that might disturb our natural life. Everybody cannot be replaced, the clones and human have completely different thinking and experience, only the appearance cannot represent everything. Also, if some of crazy scientists clone large amount of human for soldier or workers, that might lead to a class issues for clones.

On the other hand, the technology of clone has medical benefits. We all know transplanting of human organ is a hard-medical problem, it’s too difficult to find an organ that matching another, but if we can clone human, not even human just clone the organ, it will save a lot of people all over the world.

Clone eliminate one’s personality, destroy the diversity of the class. Human cloning is a reproduction of donor people, their appearance and donor genome and identical, this eliminates the individual person their unique personality. The diversity of the loss of individuality is bound to destroy class. Class variety performance form the social balance and complementary, destroy the stability of the situation, the result must be painful.

Human cloning is blasphemy and violation of human nature, beneath the dignity of the people. Cloning might damage the rights of people with unique genotype, and a man without character has no dignity to speak of. Asexual reproduction is lower animal and plant breeding way, use it for higher animals, have been the natural evolution, then it is used for the soul of the universe of human tampering, will be demoted to human lower animals. When people can like products are copied, people will be weak sense of life, what would people like to cherish human cloning, will treat it like items? This is a challenge to human dignity.

Human cloning will give manufacturing is not easy to resolve the plight of the rule of law society. Two or more people have the same personality characteristics, namely the clone and donor who exist at the same time, will cause the behavior main body could not be determined from the Angle of law, it will bring to the judicial practice numerous problems.

Human cloning is bad for human evolution. People use cloning reproduction is for human development as one of natural species had a strong intervention, the intervention may affect the composition and natural development of the human race. Life is numerous genes through its ability to choose to survive. Repeated copying the same genes, and genes will make itself the power and quality of degraded gradually, over time, humans will lose genetic diversity, human sexual degradation is inevitable. Human evolution is in the process of natural evolution, is always the same genome of human cloning, because it could not change our genes, with the evolution of the natural will lack to fit into a natural survival ability in the future. Clone from advanced sex returned to low-level asexual reproduction, this clearly goes against the biological evolution rule.

However, all of the above should have a precondition, the scientists can control the process of clone well and also the organ has no imperfection. The Council of Ethical and Judicial Affairs for the AMA stated the following concerning possible problems with mutations and clones:

“Since the somatic cell from which clones originate likely will have acquired mutations, serial cloning would compound the accumulation that occurs in somatic cells.  Although these mutations might not be apparent at the time of cloning, genetics problems could become exacerbated in future generations” The technology of clone is still under development, no one can control the process and result, especially human and animals.

In conclusion, everybody has parents, even animals. But how can we identify the family of cloning human. It is so hard to define the relationship between human and clones. Even the revolution of clone might have medical benefits in the future, but most of the part are unacceptable, especially cloning human. Each person has individual personality, we cannot use any other way to copy or replace it. It is unethical and illegal to cloning human so far. In fact, people cannot accept human cloning experiments, the main reason of the lies in the traditional ethical and moral concept. One thousand years, humans have always follows the way of sexual reproduction, but human cloning is a product of the laboratory, is the life of the under artificially produced.

Moreover, the relationship between the clone with the human cloning also goes against the traditional way of determined by blood biological ethics. All of these, make human cloning cannot be found in human traditional ethics moral right.

reflection

This semster almost finish, I’m glad that I have took this course. At the beginning of the semster, I still remember that Professor divided us into different group, let us know each other, hang out together. My group went to the James River, that was a wonderful experience. As an international student, I have trouble with communication, that helped me talk more, knew more fridends. Also, the blog assignment is also interesting. This is my first time actually write someting on my self blog, it helped me for reading, writing and also comment on other blogs. Also, the group assignment let me did something with few classmates, like research information, write essey, interview the profesor for our assignment topic.  This course really helpful for me with my English, Even though I still work hard on learning English.

Course Reflection

At first, I thought this course will be like other lecture courses that I will have to attend to class, listen to the lecture and finish the assigned assigments. However, this course is more interesting than I thought. I learned that be able to work well as a group, we have to know every member in the group first so that we would be able to bring the best result. Therefore, what make the course more interesting is listening to everybody disscuss as sharing their point of views after the reading assignments. I also like it how the professor would be able to applied real life examples whenever we have a topic to dicuss. It was very effective. Last thing I like is the debate project, it was not ony a good practice before I start my final paper but also help me learn be able to make a good argument. We need to be very knowlegable about our topic chosen. Also, I think it is good to see how people argue to protect their point of view.

Unit 3 Paper: A Major Decision

Today, many parents still insist their child what to choose their career. For example, on the website “Big Question”, one of the cases study is about Meghan. The American history class in high school has inspired her so much that she decided to major in history for her college years. However, when Meghan presented this to her parents, instead of receiving their support, they insisted her to major in engineering with the reason that engineer is more practical and will guarantee her a job when she graduates, while history will not. This suggestion is good however; Meghan’s parents should also respect her decision. As a good all-around student, it does not mean that she would be able to do well in engineer because it is not what she pursues. Even if she does, is she going to be happy to live the rest of her life working as engineering? Meghan has the right to make her own decision and allow developing fully of her character. Therefore, Meghan doesn’t need have an ethical responsibility to follow her parents’ wishes and declare engineering major.

According to Markkula Center for applied Ethic, one of the examples of virtues is honesty. Also, people can decide what they want to do if they know who they are, what they want and what they can do for themselves. So it violates the virtue ethic if Meghan’s parents try to insist her to major in engineering instead of history because she cannot do what she wants. The fact is Meghan’s parents are limiting her from acting the best of herself. Thus, it will not help Meghan from showing her kind of personality. Therefore, it is dishonest to herself. Because of listening to her parents’ suggestion, she has to major in engineering, which she has never done before. Yet, parents have the right to decide what is good for their children because they are the one who is going to pay the financial for the children. However, it does not mean that their decision-making is always right. Like one of my friends that is currently at VCU, her case was similar to Meghan, she chose to major in pharmacist when she applied to VCU because her parents convinced her that pharmacist would give her a better life in the future. However, her interested is more for art that her parents did not really support it. However, after one year attending to college and majoring in pharmacist, her dad told her that he will not force her to do what he wants anymore but he will let her decide whatever she want to do because he thinks pharmacist is very boring. However, it was too late for her to decide because changing major especially to art is not easy. She has to start everything again from applying to art program, which she has to prepare for the portfolio. However, the most important thing is she would not know if she is going to be accepted in the program even though she already got accepted at the first place. There was no relevant way for her to decide that she has to keep major in pharmacist. This upset her a lot, she decided to listen to her parents because she thought she could have done something for them if she makes their wish come true. Also she concerned of that her parents are going to pay for her tuition fee. However, when her parents realized their decision that they have made was wrong. They hurt her instead because they thought they have made a good decision like other parents think but they have not. So Meghan should keep chasing what she wants and proving to her parents that she makes the right decision from preventing what might happen to her that already happened to my friend. This also shows that even parents might have more experience in life but it does not mean that they would always make the right decision for children.

As Capsim, a company that provides business education and training to executives, defines right approach is focusing on respect for human dignity. Also, that dignity is based on our ability to choose freely how we live our lives that Meghan has the right to choose what she wants to do in the future. As an upcoming college student, which means she will soon become an adult, she is mature enough to make her own decision and be able to learn what she desires. It is not only good for herself but also for her future. According to Career Ride, the website that help career aspirants in their endeavor, said that only children know their interest and ability better than anyone else which would lead them to success inspire of what career they are choosing. Yet, no one is perfect, it is impossible for someone to make the right decisions at all times. However, it is okay if children land up in a wrong decision because what they get out of it is a lesson in life. According to Jim Taylor Ph.D from Psychology, allowing children to develop their decision-making skill is very important. It is not only help children live healthier but also become mature adults. Therefore, because children lack experience and perspective, parents should give them more opportunities to decide what they want to do whether the result is positive or negative. As the result, when Taylor asked a group of young people whether they have ever done stupid things, which is the same as making bad decisions, they all raised their hands. Some said they could not stop thinking about it, the other said it seemed fun at the time. Taylor concluded “The fact is it’s part of your children’s “job” to do stupid things. Bad decision making is an essential part of their road to maturity.” Thus, if parents keep making decision for their children, the negative affect might be their kids would rely on them and cannot get out of their parents’ shade. Taylor also said:

When they make a good decision, they can gain the greatest amount of satisfaction and fulfillment because they chose it. When your children make bad decisions, they may suffer for it, but they can learn from the experience and make better decisions in the future.

Furthermore, parents have the right to expect to receive appreciate and grateful from their children because they have suffered a lot to give them the best in life. Yet, their desire is to see their children to be settled and succeed in life. In return, some parents might expect their children to listen to the decision they make. As the parental right, they have the right to make decision for their children such as in health, religious, education and other things. However, their legal responsibility for their children is just until when their children reach the majority age, which is 18 or graduate from high school according to Christina Otterstrom from the Lawyers. Therefore, parents do not need to support their children financial unless their child has special needs or they decide it to do so. Indefinitely, Meghan does not need to listen to her parents to major in engineering but chasing her dream, which is major in history. A kid who would stands up and against their parents decision to protect what they dream of does not mean they are disrespectful to his/ her parents but he/ she wants to show their parents what they want and who they are. Yet, inspire of parental law, parents still have the right to expect their children to respect them. However, sometimes they misunderstood of the idea of expectation and went to far from what they expect. Parents expect too much from their child that they forgot to set themselves in their kid’s position to see what they really want. There are many ways that children can do for their parents in return but listen to their parents’ decision making is not the most relevant way. Therefore, parent aspiration aim too high can harm child academic performance, from the Science Daily; the research shows that “high parental aspiration led to increased academic achievement, but only when it did not overly exceed realistic expectation. When aspiration exceeded expectation, the children’s achievement decreased proportionately.”

In additional, as Meghan’s parents statedengineer is practical and will guarantee her a job when she graduates, while history will not.” Their thought might be right but engineer is not what Meghan wants thus she does not have much knowledge about it since she has been developed her knowledge for history from high school. Therefore, the way Meghan parents compared between engineer and history, engineer is better because she will get a job right after she graduated but who would guarantee that. “On a year-over-year basis, engineering employment has grown by only 0.6 percent since December 2014, adding 16,200 engineering workers to the workforce. This growth rate is underperforming compared to that of the overall workforce growth rate of 7 percent” according to Meghan Brown from Engineering which mean that engineering is not a relevant job for her like her parents thought. Yet, unlike engineering when students will get a job that relate to engineer. Many college students graduate with history degrees end up finding jobs that career in business and government, law or teaching. However that is not a bad thing because “Koc warned against choosing an overly narrow major because there is a greater risk that it will become irrelevant. A major in cyber security may boost your chances in the job market right after college, he said, but the market can easily change” from CNBC news. According to the data from CNBC, Koc also said “A general major in business or computer science may have more lasting relevance” then why did not Meghan parents suggested her to change to business or computer science but engineering? The reason could be they had failed to achieve their dream due to family or financial issues that they wish to see themselves in their kids. This falls into the common good approach. However, the good is not for Meghan but for her parents because they could not achieve it so they expect their children instead. Therefore, if history will not bring a bright future for Meghan then why so many top colleges such as Yale University, Princeton University, Harvard University or Columbia University when one of the most popular areas of study is history according to Megan Cahill from USA Today College.

Making decision is very important that Meghan should be the one who do so not her parents. Even though her decision-making might be wrong that she might end up changing her major. It is okay because she will learn from it. Yet, parents have the right to make decision for their children however, children should take it as a suggestion but do not take it as their decision because parents do make wrong decision too. It is better for children to learn from their bad decision making than regret from listening to the wrong decision-making.

Unit 3 paper: Argument using Ethics

Today, many parents still insist their child what to choose for their career. Like Megha in this case, the American history class in high school has inspired her so much that she decided to major in history for her college years. However, when Megha presented to her parents, instead of receiving their support. They all raised their hands. Some said they could not stop thinking about it, the other said it seemed fun at the time. As Taylor conclude that “The fact is it’s part of your children’s “job” to do stupid things. Bad decision making is an essential part of their road to maturity.” Thus, if parents keep making decision for their children, the negative affect might be their kids would rely on them and cannot get out of their parents’ shade.

“When they make a good decision, they can gain the greatest amount of satisfaction and fulfillment because they chose it. When your children make bad decisions, they may suffer for it, but they can learn from the experience and make better decisions in the future.”

Furthermore, children should be more appreciate and grateful to their parents because they suffered a lot to give them the best in life. Yet, their desire is to see their children to be settled and succeed in life. In return, some parents might expect their children to listen to the decision they make. As the parental right, they have the right to make decision for their children such as in health, religious, education and other things. However, their legal responsibility for their children is just until when their children reach the majority age which is 18 or graduate from high school according to Christina Otterstrom from the Lawyers. Therefore, parents do not need to support their children financial unless their child has special needs or they decide it to do so. Indefinitely, Megha does not need to listen to her parents to major in engineering but chasing her dream which is major in history. A kid who would stands up and against their parents decision to protect what they dream of does not mean they are disrespectful to his/ her parents but he/ she wants to show their parents what they want and who they are. Parents expect too much from their child but have they ever set themselves in their kids position to see what they really want. There are many ways that children can do for their parents in return but listen to their parents decision making is not the most relevant way. Therefore, parent aspiration aim too high can harm child academic performance, from the Science Daily.

They found that high parental aspiration led to increased academic achievement, but only when it did not overly exceed realistic expectation. When aspiration exceeded expectation, the children’s achievement decreased proportionately.”

In additional, as Megha’s parents stated thatengineer is practical and will guarantee her a job when she graduates, while history will not.” Their thought might be right but engineer is not what Megha wants thus she does not have much knowledge about it since she has been developed her knowledge for history from high school. Therefore, the way Megha parents compared between engineer and history, engineer is better because she will get a job right after she graduated but who would guarantee that. “On a year-over-year basis, engineering employment has grown by only 0.6 percent since December 2014, adding 16,200 engineering workers to the workforce. This growth rate is underperforming compared to that of the overall workforce growth rate of 7 percent” according to Meghan Brown from Engineering. Therefore, if history will not bring a bright future for Megha then why so many top colleges such as Yale University, Princeton University, Harvard University or Columbia University when one of the most popular areas of study is history according to Megan Cahill from USA Today College. A major in cybersecurity may boost your chances in the job market right after college, he said, but the market can easily change” from CNBC news. According to the data from CNBC, Koc also said “A general major in business or computer science may have more lasting relevance” then why did not Megha parents suggested her to change to engineer instead of business or computer science? the reason could be they had failed to achieve their dream due to family or financial issues that they wish to see themselves in their kids.

Admissions Debate Reflection

As a lawyer this time, whatever the result was, I think both teams had done a very good job of showing their point of view and to support their side.  Honestly, when we repaired for our con team, we also looked up for the pro side that we think it would help us to rebuttal back. We found a very little information that the opposite side would against us which we were sort of feel positive about the debate. However, I was impressed by how much information the pro team had that was very convincing me.  Sometimes, they made me have a moment that “oh, yeah, they’re right!”. Also, I think both teams did a good job of applied ethical framework while giving the evidences. Overall, I think it was a good debate.

Cheating Debate Reflection

As an audience that watched the debate went through, I thought that in the first round, the lawyers of both sides tried to cover as much information as they could that made their speech sometimes went too fast and sometimes too slow, which was a little bit hard for me to follow through. Therefore, at the first round, it seemed like they were on an even field because they just gave common points. However, at the rebuttal round, both teams did a good job that they give more real examples that apply to real life which made me agree that using aderall pill to help students have more energy and be able to focus on their exam or test is cheating.
