Vienna in the summer can get close to 100 degrees Fahrenheit, and down to the 60's on colder evenings or if it's raining. In the mountains, the temperatures can fluctuate greatly, so you definitely need to bring appropriate clothing for the month. There are laundry facilities in your dorm, and you'll be able to purchase a laundry card to wash for the month. Pack as lightly and smartly as you can - it makes traveling so much easier!
For students who completed GRMN 101, GRMN 102, or GRMN 201 this Spring at VCU: Netzwerk A1 and/or Netzwerk A2 book. This will save you money!
Layers – include at least one sweatshirt/sweater and one windbreaker/jacket.
Sturdy closed shoes for walking and hiking – you'll be doing a lot of walking, so definitely bring comfortable shoes and/or sandals.
Raincoat or poncho
Comfortable summer clothing appropriate for going to class and exploring the city.
Sleepwear - keep in mind that you'll be sharing a suite with others, so sleepwear is important!
Towels - bring two at least - one for your dorm room, and one for activities (swimming, picnicing, etc.)
Adapter(s) - for all electronic devices, you'll need an adapter to be able to use European sockets.
