Welcome to the Virginia LEND Training Site! Virginia LEND (Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities) is a program that provides training to diverse disciplines with the goal of improving the health of infants, children, and adolescents with disabilities.  Traditionally, this is done by the participants, referred to as Trainees, completing a one-year graduate level program where they attend classes, participate in interdisciplinary clinics, observe and interact with special needs families and complete a variety of teamwork and research activities. This requires the Trainees to be in the Richmond area and enroll in courses at Virginia Commonwealth University. Because Virginia LEND wants to provide this training statewide, Virginia LEND Online was created to make it more accessible for individuals throughout Virginia.

On this site, you will find tools and resources you can use to complete Virginia LEND training, help you implement person and family centered care into your workplace, guide you in developing and maintaining interdisciplinary teams and support your leadership skill development.  The following content can be found on the following pages with additional information and content being added frequently:
